Aiperi Medet kyzy won a gold medal at a ranking tournament held in Albania.

The competition took place on February 28, and the athlete from Kyrgyzstan competed in the weight category up to 76 kg.

Aiperi's first match began in the Round of 16, where she confidently defeated the Kazakhstani athlete Gulmaral Yerkebayeva, winning with a score of 12:2.

Her next opponents were Vanesa Georgieva from Bulgaria, whom Medet kyzy easily overcame, finishing the match with a score of 10:0, and Elmira Yasin from Turkey, against whom the Kyrgyzstani also showed an excellent result — 14:0.

In the final, she was set to face Genesis Reasco Valdez from Ecuador, the reigning world champion. Previously, at the 2025 World Championship, this athlete had defeated Medet kyzy.

However, this time the athlete from Kyrgyzstan prevailed, avenged her earlier loss, and won the gold medal at the tournament in Albania.
