A representative of Kyrgyzstan won two medals at the Asian Cycling Championship
The Kyrgyzstan national cycling team is participating in the 45th Asian Championship, which is taking place from February 5 to 13 in Saudi Arabia, according to information from the federation of this sport.

Igor Filin, a representative of Kyrgyzstan, won a gold medal in the "masters 60-64" category, confidently winning the road race over a distance of 62.4 kilometers. He had previously won a silver medal in the individual time trial over 20 kilometers.

This victory was the first for Kyrgyzstan in the road race since the country gained independence and the fifth gold medal in the history of the Asian Championships in road cycling.

Previously, gold medals at continental championships were won by Evgeny Vakker, who became the champion in individual races in 2007, 2008, 2011, and 2012.
