Winter Olympics - 2026. Let's see what the parade uniforms of different countries look like
The opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics will take place tomorrow, February 6, at the "San Siro" stadium in Milan, Italy.

National teams from all participating countries have presented their sports uniforms and parade outfits, with the Mongolian team’s uniform standing out particularly, receiving numerous enthusiastic responses in the media and social networks.

During the opening, athletes will showcase their parade uniforms, which will not only adorn the ceremonial procession but also highlight the image of each team, attracting the attention of viewers from around the world.

Kaktus.media presents photos of the parade uniforms of various national teams.

Kyrgyzstan

The Kyrgyzstan team will be represented in a white parade uniform at the opening ceremony, while the dark blue uniform is intended for training. The parade outfit is complemented by the national headdress — ak kalpak.

Kazakhstan

The Kazakhstan team’s uniform for the 2026 Winter Olympics was developed by a brand from Kyzylorda and includes about 18 pieces of equipment. The contract was signed with off-budget funds, and the brand provided a 70% discount on the products.

However, the design of the uniform has faced criticism on social media, especially against the backdrop of enthusiastic reviews of the Mongolian team’s uniform. In response to the criticism, the Ministry of Sports of Kazakhstan stated its intention to improve the equipment and hold open competitions among local brands for future games.

Mongolia

The Mongolian team’s uniform stands out for its originality.

The equipment, developed by the Goyol Cashmere brand, is inspired by the history of Mongolia and includes robes and traditional clothing from the 13th to 15th centuries. The design combines elements of the classic Mongolian costume — deel, as well as ornaments reflecting the nomadic culture and the era of the Mongol Empire. The finishing uses wool and cashmere, and the color palette includes rich dark shades with bright accents.

The Mongolian team’s uniform has been recognized as one of the most stylish at the 2026 Games.

USA

The American team representing the USA will be dressed in parade uniforms by Ralph Lauren, which were presented for the 2026 Winter Olympics taking place in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. This is the tenth consecutive Olympic Games for which the brand is responsible for the team's equipment.

The uniform is designed in the classic style characteristic of Ralph Lauren and includes a white wool jacket, a sweater featuring the American flag, pants, and accessories in traditional red, white, and blue colors. These outfits combine elegance, comfort, and national symbolism.

Canada

The Canadian team’s uniform, developed by the brand Lululemon, represents creative equipment for the Winter Olympics and is the third set created for the Canadian team by this brand.

The equipment includes several sets that will be used at various stages of the Games: for the opening and closing ceremonies, for media appearances, in the Olympic village, and for everyday wear. However, the new uniform has received mixed responses: some highlight its creativity and comfort, while others find it too experimental compared to the classic red down jackets of previous years.

Italy

The official uniform for the Italian team was designed by the fashion house EA7 Emporio Armani, which has been collaborating with the Italian team since 2012. This is one of the last collections worked on by Giorgio Armani, who passed away in September 2025.

The main color of the equipment is snow white, symbolizing harmony with the alpine peaks, purity, and simplicity — key values of sports.

France

The French team’s uniform was developed by the national brand Le Coq Sportif, which is the official partner of the team. The collection includes several lines of clothing for various Olympic events: casual wear for the Olympic village, elegant sets for official events, and parade uniforms for the opening.

Le Coq Sportif emphasizes that the new uniform reflects French elegance, functionality, and sporting spirit, connecting the two fashion capitals of the world — Paris and Milan.

Japan

The Japanese team’s uniform, created by the ASICS brand, was presented 100 days before the start of the Olympics — on October 29, 2025, in Tokyo. The design of the uniform continues the concept of Paris 2024, combining performance, sustainability, and diversity, while transferring "emotions" from the summer to the winter Games.

The design is based on traditional Japanese minimalism, with an emphasis on functionality and restrained lines. The color scheme includes white and red, referencing the national flag and the philosophy of purity, discipline, and respect for traditions. ASICS noted that comfort and modern materials were prioritized in the development.

Spain

For the Winter Olympics, the Spanish team has chosen a uniform developed by the sports brand Joma. The presentation took place on January 14, 2026. The design of the uniform combines national identity and high functionality, considering the extreme conditions of cold, snow, and wind. The collection includes high-tech materials with high waterproofing and insulation, as well as solutions that ensure comfort and freedom of movement.

In addition to the main line for ceremonial appearances, the collection also includes clothing for the podium and award ceremonies, where athletes will be presented in warm and elastic suits featuring national colors that emphasize the team’s identity.

Interestingly, this brand's sports equipment is also used by the national football team of Kyrgyzstan.

Haiti

Another interesting team with an unusual parade uniform at the 2026 Winter Olympics is the team from Haiti. The equipment for the team was designed by Italian-Haitian designer Stella Jean, and it is the only uniform at the Games that is hand-painted.

The uniform, created in Italy, draws inspiration from the work of contemporary Haitian artist Edouard Duval-Carrié. Its design reflects symbols of the 1804 revolution and the creation of the world's first black republic.

For the women in the delegation, the look is complemented by a traditional turban.
