Athletes of SK "Manas" Won Medals at the Kyrgyzstan Jiu-Jitsu Championship

In Kara-Balta, the results of the participation of athletes from the "Manas" sports complex in the Kyrgyzstan Jiu-Jitsu Championship have been summarized. This tournament took place on January 24-25 in Bishkek at the "Gazprom" physical culture and health complex. The organizer was the National Jiu-Jitsu Federation, whose goal was to form the national team of the country. About 300 athletes from various regions of Kyrgyzstan, including veterans, participated in the competition.

The "Manas" sports complex was represented by four athletes: two girls and two boys under the guidance of coach Almaz Mambetov. As a result of the tournament, three of them returned with medals.

Kamilla Moldobekova in the U-16 category, weight category up to 63 kg, won a gold medal, becoming the champion of Kyrgyzstan, which gave her the opportunity to represent the country at the Central Asia Championship and join the national team.

Aziza Bakytova took third place in the U-16 category. The bronze medalist was Akhmedov Ali, who competed in the weight category up to 69 kg.

Also, at this championship, Atykhan Shabdanov showed excellent results, having previously become the world champion in jiu-jitsu in Abu Dhabi at the age of 10. In the current tournament, he took second place in the U-14 category in the weight up to 52 kg. Atykhan trains in Bishkek, and his first coach was Almaz Mambetov, the founder of the jiu-jitsu section in Kara-Balta.

After the competitions, a ceremony for awarding belts and stripes took place at the "Manas" Jiu-Jitsu club. Gray belts were awarded to Oktay Mahmudov, Berdali Toktogulov, and Hamza Aslanov, while champion Kamilla Moldobekova received an orange belt.

Team coach Almaz Mambetov expressed gratitude to the parents for their support.

The club's upcoming plans include participation in international grappling competitions scheduled for February 7-8, 2026. Athletes from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan will take part in the tournament. The "Manas" sports complex will present four athletes at this event.

Additionally, the Central Asia Jiu-Jitsu Championship is expected to take place on May 2-3, 2026, in which Kamilla Moldobekova will participate.
