Kyrgyzstani Wrestlers to Compete at the Ivan Yarygin Cup 2026

From January 29 to February 1, 2026, the XXXVII International Ivan Yarygin Cup in freestyle wrestling will be held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan will participate in this prestigious tournament.

According to the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan, the women's national team will represent the country in the competition. Freestyle wrestlers will compete for medals in ten weight categories.

Currently, athletes from 16 countries have confirmed their participation in the Cup. Last year, 384 wrestlers from 17 countries participated in the tournament, which confirms the high status of this competition on the international stage and its importance in the world wrestling calendar.

The Ivan Yarygin Cup is considered a significant stage of preparation for athletes before world championships, continental championships, and the Olympic Games.
