The women's national team of Kyrgyzstan in freestyle wrestling will participate in a tournament in Russia.

The women's national team of Kyrgyzstan in freestyle wrestling is preparing for the international tournament Ivan Yarygin Cup, which will take place in Russia. The press service of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports reported this.
This competition, the 37th in its count, will be held in Krasnoyarsk from January 29 to February 1. A total of 20 sets of awards will be contested for both men and women.

The tournament organizers announced that at the moment wrestlers from 16 countries have confirmed their participation.

The composition of the women's national team of Kyrgyzstan will be announced later.

It is worth noting that in 2024, Kalmyra Bilimbek kyzy, Zharkynai Nurlan kyzy, and Nurzat Nurtayeva won bronze medals at the Ivan Yarygin Cup, while in 2017, Aisuluu Tynybekova won the gold medal at the tournament.

The Ivan Yarygin Cup is an international wrestling competition that features both men and women. The tournament is named after the Soviet wrestler, a two-time Olympic champion, who also achieved success at the World and European Championships.
