Denis Petrashov won silver at the tournament in the USA
The Pro Swim Series tournament started on January 14, and during the competition, Petrashov competed in the 100-meter breaststroke, where he showed the second-best time in the preliminaries, securing his place in the final.
The final event took place early in the morning on January 15. Denis finished with a time of 59.55 seconds, taking second place and winning the silver medal.
The first place in this race was taken by American Van Mathias with a time of 59.45 seconds.
Additionally, Petrashov will also participate in the 50 and 200 meters breaststroke events during the tournament.
“The strongest athletes preparing for the 2028 Olympic Games have gathered at this tournament. There are many Olympic champions from the USA and France here, including Leon Marchand. The Kazakh team is represented by nine athletes who will be training in the USA. We have also been promised support from the State Agency for Sports for Denis’s training,” shared information by the head coach of the Kyrgyzstan national team.
