Nursultan Keneshbekov was 0.05 seconds short of the Kyrgyzstan record
The competition "Christmas Starts. Memorial E.S. Yalamov" took place on January 7 in Yekaterinburg.
In the 3000-meter race, 14 athletes participated, and Keneshbekov became the winner with a time of 7 minutes 57.66 seconds. He was just 0.05 seconds short of setting a new national record for this distance.
"This was my first start of the season. The competition went smoothly, without special preparation, right after the training camp. This is a good start for the season, and I am striving for improvement. I was only 0.05 seconds away from the national record, but I am confident that it’s just a matter of time. We will continue to work," the athlete shared on his social media.
