After the defeat in the match against Vietnam, the General Secretary of the Kyrgyz Football Union, Mederbek Sydykov, organized a meeting with the players of the Kyrgyzstan U-23 national team.

The game, which took place as part of the second round of the group stage of the Asian Cup, was held on January 9 and ended with a score of 1:2 in favor of the opponent.

"Shortly after the match, we conducted a brief analysis. As both a leader and a player, I emphasized the behavior of some of them. One should not look for blame outside — it is necessary to analyze one’s own actions," noted Sydykov.

He emphasized that one cannot simply step onto the field after exhausting themselves in preparation. "I urged them to play for the country, their families, friends, and loyal fans," he added.

Speaking about future prospects, Sydykov noted: "We are not sure if we can advance from the group. However, it is essential to win and finish the tournament with dignity," he said in an interview with "Kyrgyz Sport TV" before the match against Jordan.
