Kyrgyzstani wrestlers won medals at the Yasar Dogu International Tournament - 2026

An international freestyle wrestling tournament Yasar Dogu -2026 was held in Turkey.

According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, athletes from Kyrgyzstan brought home 7 medals from this competition: 2 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze.

The gold medals were won by Bilol Sharip uulu (weight category up to 65 kg) and Zalkarbek Tabaldiev (up to 70 kg).

The silver medals went to Oskonbay Abdisamatov (65 kg) and Malik Shavaev (86 kg).

The bronze awards were claimed by Bayaman Kerimbekov (57 kg), Rustamzhan Kakharo (70 kg), and Adilet Maratbaev (79 kg).

In the team standings, the Kyrgyzstan national team took second place.

The international wrestling tournament named after Yasar Dogu, Vehbi Emre, and Hamit Kaplan took place in Antalya from January 8 to 11.
