In the central park of Talas, an event was held in memory of the victims of the April Revolution, as reported by the regional representative office.
Participating in the event were the authorized representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Talas, Ermat Jumayev, the mayor of the city, Nurgazy Cholponkulov, as well as heroes of the revolutionary events and relatives of the deceased.
During the ceremony, wreaths were laid at the monument to the heroes of April, a prayer was held, and a moment of silence was observed in memory of those who have passed away, after which a military salute was fired in their honor.
Additionally, a theatrical prologue reflecting the events of the April Revolution took place at the Talas Regional Drama Theater, and an exhibition titled "April 7 through the Eyes of Schoolchildren" featuring drawings by students was opened.
This year marks the 16th anniversary of those events of April 7.
