In Talas, the memory of internationalist soldiers was honored on the 37th anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan

A memorial rally was held in the central park of Talas to mark the 37th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. Participants of the event laid flowers at the monument to internationalist soldiers in honor and memory of the fallen heroes.

The solemn ceremony was attended by the mayor of Talas, Nurgazy Asylbekov, veterans of combat operations, as well as representatives of government institutions and the local community. During the event, Afghan veterans were presented with honorary certificates and letters of appreciation for their bravery and dedication to the Motherland.

Addressing those gathered, Nurgazy Asylbekov expressed sincere gratitude to the veterans for their feats. "We bow our heads before the courage of the heroes and their families. I wish you health, long life, and a peaceful sky," the mayor noted in his speech.
