On April 3, at the initiative of Kyrgyzstan, two meetings were held between the border representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as reported by the State Border Service.
The first meeting took place at the "Samarkandek" border post with the participation of the border representative of the Kyrgyz Republic for the Batken section and the representative of Tajikistan for the Isfara section.
The second meeting was held at the "Kairagach-road" checkpoint, where the border guards of Kyrgyzstan from the Leilek section met with their Tajik colleagues from the Ganchin section.
During the meetings, practical exercises were conducted on the "Behavior Line of Border Guards on the Kyrgyz-Tajik State Border," and joint plans for 2026 were discussed, including dates for joint patrols.
At the end of the events, the participants held friendly matches in mini-football and table tennis, as stated in the report.
