Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan agreed on joint patrols at the border
Today, at the initiative of the Kyrgyz side, two important meetings took place between the border guards of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. This information was provided by the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan.




The first meeting took place at the "Samarkandek" border post, located in the Batken region, where representatives from the Batken and Isfara sections gathered. The second meeting was held at the "Kairagach-automobile" checkpoint, where border guards responsible for the Leilek and Ganchin sections met.

During the negotiations, the parties conducted practical exercises related to the actions of border guards at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. Plans for joint work in 2026 were also discussed, and dates for future joint patrols were agreed upon.

The Border Service noted that the meetings were held in a constructive atmosphere, highlighting the parties' readiness to strengthen the protection of the state border and maintain stability in the border regions.

At the conclusion of the official part of the event, the participants held friendly matches in mini-football and table tennis.
