In 2026, 10 kilometers of road will be repaired at the Too-Ashuu Pass

In 2026, medium repair work is planned at the Too-Ashuu pass as part of the Bishkek – Osh highway. The press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that on the section of the road from the 130th to the 146th kilometer, the old asphalt will be removed and replaced with a new surface.
Additionally, the road maintenance enterprise (DMP) No. 9, which is subordinate to the ministry, is replacing the barrier fences on the section of the Bishkek – Osh highway from the "Sosnovka" post to the approach to the Too-Ashuu pass (80-139th kilometer). A total of 200 units of barriers (parapets) are planned to be installed, of which 180 have already been mounted.

It is worth noting that these barrier fences have not been updated for over 20 years, since the reconstruction of the Bishkek – Osh highway.
