On April 2, water supply for domestic needs will be temporarily suspended in Bishkek, including residential buildings, kindergartens, schools, medical institutions, and other social facilities. According to the city administration, the shutdown will begin at 09:00 and last until 20:00.
The shutdown zones include:
- Ala-Archa district – railway line – Jibek-Jolu Avenue – M. Gvardia Boulevard;
- M. Gvardia Boulevard - railway line – Frunze Street – Manas Avenue;
- Deng Xiaoping Avenue – Ala-Archa district – Bokonbaev, Kuliev, Moscow, Pishpek, Fuchik, and Kazakov Streets.
The reason for the shutdown is due to repair work at the "West-2" water intake and on the city's water supply systems.
MP "Bishkekvodokanal" apologizes for any inconvenience and recommends that residents stock up on drinking water in advance.
The city administration also reminded about the possibility of downloading the "My City" app to receive timely notifications about planned and emergency water supply shutdowns.
