In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a temporary water supply shutdown is expected on March 12. Water supply will be halted from 09:00 to 18:00, according to information provided by local authorities.

The shutdown will affect residential buildings, educational institutions, kindergartens, as well as healthcare facilities and other socio-economic and industrial sites.

The affected areas will include neighborhoods within the boundaries of Dostoevsky, Ankara, and Auezov streets up to the railway line. Residential areas of Altyn Ordo, Kara-Jyach, and Police Town will also be without water.

As clarified by the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekvodokanal," the reason for the shutdown is the conduct of repair and maintenance work at the "Kontrrezervuary" water intake and in the city's water supply networks.

The enterprise apologizes for any inconvenience and urges residents and organizations to stock up on drinking water in advance.

Additionally, residents of the capital are recommended to install the "My City" app, through which they can receive current notifications about planned and emergency water supply shutdowns.
