On the Karkyra-Turuk-Sary-Jaz highway, located in the Tyup district of the Issyk-Kul region, work is actively underway to eliminate snow avalanches on the stretch from 16 to 30 kilometers.

Currently, one team of workers and special equipment are on site, continuing the clearing operations.

According to Rysbek Ismailov, head of the Tyup district road maintenance facility No. 4, the snow cover this year exceeds last year's levels. "This season, significantly more snow has fallen than in previous years. To ensure that shepherds can move livestock to remote pastures in the spring, we started the snow clearing work a month earlier than usual," he noted.
Since March 28, work has continued to clear snow avalanches up to 4 meters high on the section of the road leading to the Karkyra-Turuk-Sary-Jaz gorge," Ismailov added.

These activities are aimed at the timely opening of traffic on the high-altitude road and ensuring access for shepherds to summer pastures.
