Minister of Emergency Situations Kanatbek Chynbaev, together with the governor of the Chui region, inspected sections of the banks of the Chu River that are suffering from erosion, according to information from the ministry's press service.
During the visit, the minister initiated the activation of work on bank reinforcement, emphasizing that these measures will help protect agricultural lands and reduce risks for the local population.
It is important to note that the Ministry of Emergency Situations is already carrying out bank reinforcement works at critical sections of the Chu River, which flows through the villages of Nizhny-Chuy in the Sokuluk district and Suimonkul Chokmorov in the Alamudun district, with the aim of stopping the erosion process.
