The Kyrgyz Ministry of Education has implemented a new digital technological system called "Electronic Registration of Children in State and Municipal General Educational Organizations," which will be in effect for the 2026/27 academic year.
According to the new rules, children born between January 1 and December 31, 2019, as well as those born between January 1 and December 31, 2020, can enroll in the first grade.
For children over 8 years old or those who do not have the necessary identity documents, enrollment will be carried out at the discretion of the Commission for Children's Affairs (KDA).
The process of admission to the first grade will be conducted through the "Electronic Registration" system and will take place in two stages across the country:
— The first stage begins on April 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM and is intended for children whose parents or legal representatives have permanent registration in the microdistrict of the corresponding school;
— The second stage starts on June 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM, and children can enroll regardless of their parents' registration if there are available spots in the school.
Applicants can register their children through the "personal account" on the website 1mektep.edu.gov.kg.
It is important to note that there will be no tests, exams, or interviews conducted for admission to the first grade.
The goals of the new "Electronic Registration" system are as follows:
— to simplify the process of registration, accounting, and data processing during children's enrollment;
— to ensure equal opportunities for all children in obtaining primary general education.
The system will process personal data of both children and their parents, as well as citizens of Kyrgyzstan and foreign citizens, using the inter-agency electronic interaction platform "Tunduk" for verification.
The data about the child includes:
— personal identification number (PIN);
— last name, first name, patronymic;
— gender;
— date of birth.
Information about the applicant includes:
— personal identification number (PIN);

— gender;
— date of birth;
— legal address (registration data);
— contact numbers (mobile);
— email.
The protection of personal data in the "Electronic Registration" system is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Digital Code of Kyrgyzstan.
