
From March 10 to 20, the World Muay Thai Championship took place in Bangkok, where athletes from Kyrgyzstan excelled, winning a total of 12 medals.
As a result of the competitions, Kyrgyz athletes contributed 6 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals to the team's tally.
Among the world champions were:
Veronika Akhmatova (weight category up to 54 kg) Diana Zainitdinova (weight category up to 57 kg) Nurdoolot Borubekov (weight category up to 63 kg) Robert Pak (weight category up to 67 kg) Bogdan Proshin (weight category up to 75 kg) Eldar Yeshbaev (weight category up to 81 kg).
The silver medals were won by Erkaim Aibekova and Adis Mirbolotov.
Bronze medalists: Mekin Asanaliev, Alikhan Zakirov, Rashid Magomedov, and Raul Rakhatebek.
This successful performance strengthened Kyrgyzstan's position among the strongest teams in the world and confirmed the high level of training of its athletes.
