It is worth noting that in recent years, festive prayers have been predominantly held in mosques. However, in 2023, the authorities assessed the situation as favorable in terms of security and minimal risks.
Eid al-Fitr, which is one of the most significant holidays for Muslims, marks the end of fasting during the month of Ramadan. On this day, believers participate in the festive prayer, visit relatives and friends, and help those in need.
The Muftiyat has already presented the program for the event scheduled for March 20:
- 7:30-8:00 — recitation of the Quran;
- 8:00-8:25 — religious lectures;
- 8:25-8:30 — explanation of the rules and procedures for conducting the festive prayer;
- 8:30 — conducting the festive prayer.
Due to the characteristics of mountainous areas, there may be slight changes in the timing of events depending on local conditions.
To ensure public order during the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, more than 10,000 police officers will be deployed across the country in various regions.
