From February 19 to March 13, the Department of Ground and Water Transport (DGWT) conducted inspections of heavy-duty trucks. According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, a total of 2,829 trucks were inspected during the checks.

As a result of the identified violations of transport legislation, 260 protocols were drawn up, and the total amount of fines imposed amounted to 3 million 515 thousand soms. Additionally, 46 vehicles were placed in a penalty parking lot.

Minister Talantbek Soltobaev emphasized that the Department needs to strengthen control over heavy-duty vehicles, as they cause damage to road infrastructure.
