Mayor Janarbek Akayev, along with the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Nurdana Oruntaev, held a meeting with contractors involved in construction in the city. During the discussion, previously raised problematic issues regarding the implementation of projects were addressed.
Minister Oruntaev indicated that the process of resolving construction issues will be carried out in two stages:
- financing for 9 completed projects will be provided based on the decisions of a special commission;
- 24 projects, the construction of which was suspended, will be handed over to the relevant ministry for further completion of work in accordance with the legislation.
It was also noted that by the directive of the head of state, none of the ongoing constructions in Osh will be halted. All projects will be completed in compliance with legal norms, and the expenses of entrepreneurs and funding for the work will be covered by the republican budget and the stabilization fund.
Following the meeting, the mayor and the minister conducted an inspection of current construction sites. Nurdana Oruntaev urged contractors not to panic and to continue working. He assured that all contracts would be signed in strict accordance with the law, and the process would be under his personal control.
