Azimbek Beknazarov and activists honored the memory of the victims of the Aksy events
It is worth reminding that on March 17, 2002, in the village of Bospiek, located in the Aksy district of the Jalal-Abad region, law enforcement officers opened fire on peaceful demonstrators, resulting in the deaths of six people.
The protests were triggered by disagreements over the Kyrgyz-Chinese agreement regarding the border, as well as the arrest of deputy Azimbek Beknazarov. These events became one of the key moments in the political history of the country, later influencing the events of 2005.
