Azimbek Beknazarov, known as the "bulldozer of the revolution," criticized the intentions to hold early presidential elections. In his video address, he commented on the list of 75 activists who recently urged Sadyr Japarov to start the election campaign ahead of schedule.
According to Beknazarov, there is currently no need for such elections. He noted that the country is experiencing a period of relative calm in both the economic and political spheres. Sudden elections, in his opinion, could disrupt this fragile balance and provoke unnecessary disagreements among citizens.
Beknazarov paid special attention to the initiators of the appeal. The politician admitted that he called some of the signatories and was disappointed by their responses.
“I became curious about what motivated them. And what do you think? Many admitted that they hadn’t even read the text of the appeal and just signed out of habit. It’s a classic situation: 'Oh, I signed without thinking.' People keep stepping on the same rake,” he noted with irony.
In conclusion of his speech, Beknazarov emphasized that the initiative for early voting represents an attempt to undermine the stability of the state in the interests of certain individuals.
