Sumolok is a traditional dish common among the peoples of Central Asia, made from sprouted wheat, flour, and vegetable oil. It is usually cooked in large cauldrons for 10-12 hours on the eve of the Nowruz holiday. The preparation is accompanied by songs, dances, and communal activities, making sumolok a symbol of unity, abundance, and renewal.
