The next meeting of TurkPA will take place in Kyrgyzstan this fall

During the event, it is planned to discuss issues aimed at developing cooperation among Turkic peoples.


The Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TurkPA), Ramil Hasan, met with the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev. The press service of the parliament reported on this meeting.

Mamataliyev emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening ties between fraternal nations, noting that this is relevant in the modern world.

“The new convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh seeks active cooperation with the parliaments of other Turkic countries and the successful implementation of joint projects within the framework of TurkPA,” he added.

The Chairman also reminded that a plenary session of TurkPA will take place in Kyrgyzstan this fall.

“I am confident that within the framework of this forum, we will be able to conduct productive negotiations and reach agreements that will contribute to the development of relations and deepen cooperation,” he noted.

For his part, Ramil Hasan shared information about current projects and plans, as well as pointed out the need for thorough preparation for the fall session.

He also announced an upcoming informal meeting of the heads of parliaments of the Assembly member states.

Additionally, the meeting discussed the development of partnership relations of the Assembly with inter-parliamentary organizations not only in the region but also in Europe and Latin America.

TurkPA was founded in 2008 and includes the parliaments of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. Representatives of the parliaments of Hungary, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan also actively participate in its events.
