Marlen Mamataliyev met with the Secretary General of TurkPA Ramil Hasan.
The meeting took place between the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Marlen Mamataliyev, and the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TurkPA), Ramil Hasan. This information was announced by the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh.
Marlen Mamataliyev emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy for strengthening ties between fraternal nations, noting that the new convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh aims for active interaction with the parliaments of Turkic states and the implementation of joint initiatives within the framework of TurkPA.
He also reminded that this autumn, another plenary session of TurkPA will take place in Kyrgyzstan, expressing confidence that it will serve as a platform for productive negotiations and achieving agreements that contribute to the development of relations between the peoples.
Ramil Hasan, for his part, shared details about current projects and plans, noting that preparations for the autumn session will be conducted at a high level.
He also discussed the upcoming informal meeting of the heads of parliaments of the Assembly member states, briefly touching on key issues for discussion.
Additionally, during the conversation, the issue of developing the Assembly's partnership with other parliamentary organizations was raised, including opportunities for cooperation with inter-parliamentary associations both in the region and beyond, particularly in Europe and Latin America.
It is worth noting that TurkPA was established in 2008 and includes the parliaments of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. Parliamentarians from Hungary, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan also actively participate in the Assembly's events.
