It is important to note that, thanks to the support of UNDP, the process of procuring medicines, medical products, and equipment for healthcare institutions continues. Currently, necessary organizational procedures are being carried out to supply healthcare institutions with the required goods.

The discussion also touched upon logistics and the order of delivery of medical supplies within the framework of current cooperation programs.

One of the central points of the meeting was the preparation of the Kyrgyz Republic's application for a new grant cycle from the Global Fund.

Considering the increase in the country's income levels, a gradual reduction in donor funding volumes is expected, which necessitates an increase in the share of national funding for public health programs.
The first application window will open in early June. A working group involving national specialists has been created to prepare the necessary materials. UNDP, acting as the implementing agency for several programs, will continue to provide expert and technical assistance in the application preparation process and the implementation of grant activities.

Following the meeting, both parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation aimed at maintaining the sustainability of public health programs, including tuberculosis and HIV prevention, as well as strengthening the system for providing medicines.
