The doctor named a safe weight loss norm for summer.
Preparation for the summer season often prompts people to think about weight loss. However, according to preventive medicine doctor Yulia Smirnova, a safe norm for weight loss is about 3-4 kilograms per month, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“The desire to get in shape for summer can be a great motivation, especially when you see attractive outfits in stores. However, it is important to follow safe weight loss methods. If you have gained 2-3 sizes over the winter period, then losing 3-4 kilograms a month is optimal. Losing more can lead to the opposite effect, and the extra weight will return,” said Smirnova.
In addition, the specialist emphasized the importance of an approach to weight loss. It is recommended to stick to a balanced diet and gradually increase physical activity.
