At the end of 2025, specifically in November and December, the implementation of video recording of court proceedings on various cases began. The Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic launched a pilot project that includes open video broadcasts of court sessions.

According to Aman Jumaliev, Deputy Head of the Supreme Court's Office, the pilot phase of the project has been completed. Now, video broadcasts are taking place not only in the Supreme Court but also in the Bishkek City Court and in the district courts of the capital.

“In the near future, we plan to equip the halls of regional courts with the necessary technical means, which will allow broadcasts to be launched in the district courts of other regions,” he added.

He stated that remote coverage of court proceedings will allow people to observe judicial practice from afar, which will help maintain order among the participants in the process. Additionally, this will help reduce bureaucratic procedures and improve access to justice.

Jumaliev also noted that, according to procedural legislation, the initiative to broadcast court sessions can come from both the participants in the process and the court itself. The court has the right to permit live broadcasts of sessions via television, radio, or the internet.

“These measures are aimed at increasing the transparency of judicial proceedings, strengthening public trust in the judicial system, as well as ensuring the openness of court operations and enhancing legal awareness among citizens,” concluded the Deputy Head.
