Employees of the Bishkek Regional Department of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service, together with representatives of the State Environmental Protection Agency, conducted a new raid aimed at identifying vehicles that violate harmful emissions standards. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Ecology.

As a result of the inspection, two vehicles were found whose exhaust gas pollution levels exceeded the permissible norms by more than 50 percent.

“In accordance with the Code of Offenses, protocols were drawn up against the drivers. The total amount of fines imposed was 15,000 soms. Such activities are carried out regularly to improve air quality and reduce pollution in the capital, as well as to increase environmental responsibility among vehicle owners,” the official statement said.
