Temporary restrictions on the use of the running tracks at the Dolon Omurzakov Stadium, located in Bishkek, have been introduced according to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As specified by the agency, the first layer of specialized coating has already been laid on nine tracks. This layer is required to withstand a technological break of at least one year, in accordance with international standards.
According to experts, the installation of the finishing layer of the coating is only possible under stable warm weather conditions. Violating the installation technology or premature use of the tracks may lead to damage to the coating and unnecessary expenditure of budget funds.
It should be noted that the main works on the capital repair and reconstruction of the stadium were completed in 2024, after which the facility was put into operation. Currently, the need to complete the work on the running tracks remains relevant.
After all technological processes and the installation of the second layer are completed, the running tracks will be available for visitors.
