The State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports has clarified the situation regarding the access restrictions at Dolon Omurzakov Stadium, which have caused dissatisfaction among local residents.
The agency emphasized that the introduced restrictions are temporary and are due to the need to comply with technological requirements during the installation of the running tracks.
Currently, the first stage of laying the specialized surface has been completed on nine tracks, for which a mandatory curing period of at least one year is required.
This condition is necessary to ensure the strength of the base and the durability of the surface.
The installation of the second finishing layer is allowed only under stable warm weather conditions.
Experts note that any premature use of the surface or non-compliance with technology may lead to deformation and ineffective expenditure of budget funds.
The main works on the repair and reconstruction of the stadium were completed in 2024, and the facility was officially put into operation. Currently, work on the running tracks is ongoing, which must meet established standards.
