An exhibition about Urkuya Salieva will open in Bishkek


On March 6, an exhibition titled "Urkuya Salieva - a symbol of courage and freedom" will open at the Memorial House-Museum of M.V. Frunze. This exhibition is dedicated to the life of Urkuya Salieva, who was one of the prominent figures during the period of social changes in Kyrgyzstan.

At the exhibition, visitors will be able to learn about her biography, social activities, as well as the historical events of the 1920s and 1930s. The exhibition will feature archival photographs, documents, and the feature film "Bow to the Fire," which will help to better understand how Urkuya became a symbol of the struggle for equality and social change.

According to the organizers, the main goal of the exhibition is to preserve historical memory and to recognize the important role of women in the evolution of Kyrgyz society.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place on March 6 at 11:00 at the Memorial House-Museum of M.V. Frunze. Admission is free.
