An exhibition 'Urkuya Salieva – a symbol of courage and freedom' will open in Bishkek


In the Memorial House-Museum of M.V. Frunze, an exhibition dedicated to Urkuya Salieva, who became a symbol of courage and the struggle for freedom, will be opened. This event is timed to the life and achievements of one of the most influential figures of the era of social changes in Kyrgyzstan.

According to information from the Ministry of Culture, the exhibition will include materials that tell about her biography, public activities, and the historical background of the 1920s-1930s. Visitors will be able to see archival photos, documents, as well as the feature film "Bow to the Fire," which will help to better understand Urkuya's role as a fighter for equality and transformation in society.

The goal of the exhibition is to preserve historical memory and emphasize the significance of women in the development of Kyrgyz society.

The opening will take place on March 6 at 11:00.
