Boris Podkorytov.
Born on May 3, 1948, in Frunze, Boris began playing football under the guidance of Vladimir Korobchenko, a renowned youth coach. In 1966, he was invited to the experimental USSR national team preparing for the Olympics in Mexico, following the final of the All-Union youth tournament. In this team, he played alongside stars such as Evgeny Lovchev and Sergey Olshansky.
As a player, he represented Moscow's "Lokomotiv" and "Alga," where he served as captain.
After retiring from football, Boris Podkorytov focused on coaching. After completing coaching courses in Moscow, he became the head coach of "Alga" in 1980. He later worked abroad, including in Algeria, where in 1988 he led the team to victory in the national championship.
He also coached Kazakh clubs "Kainar," "Astana," and "Zhetysu," and was part of the coaching staff of the Kazakhstan national team. Upon returning to his homeland, Podkorytov worked with "Dordoi-Dynamo," achieving significant success, including multiple victories in the Kyrgyzstan championship and the national cup. His team won the AFC President's Cup twice in 2006 and 2007.
In 2006, Boris headed the national team of Kyrgyzstan, and from 2006 to 2007, he again became the head coach of "Dordoi-Dynamo." Since 2008, he served as the club's general director, and in 2011, he worked as a consultant coach for the national team.
Podkorytov was repeatedly recognized as Coach of the Year and earned a reputation as one of the most respected mentors in the history of Kyrgyz football.
