
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has expressed deep concern regarding recent events in the Middle East, including military actions on the territory of Iran.
According to a representative of the organization, SCO members oppose the use of force and emphasize the importance of resolving conflicts exclusively through peaceful means, based on dialogue and mutual respect, while also respecting the interests of all parties in accordance with international law and the principles of the UN Charter.
Furthermore, the member states of the SCO highlight the necessity of protecting the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Iran, calling on all parties to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could exacerbate the current situation.
The organization's statement emphasizes: "SCO members strongly urge the United Nations and the UN Security Council to take immediate measures to prevent threats to international peace and security."
The SCO also expresses its sincere condolences to the families of the victims of the attacks and reaffirms its solidarity with the government and people of Iran.
