The Situation in Iran. SCO Made a Statement Calling for UN Intervention

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which unites 10 countries including Iran, expressed its concern over recent events in the Middle East.

In its statement, SCO members noted that they are deeply worried about military attacks on Iran and called for the resolution of conflicts exclusively through peaceful means, based on dialogue and mutual respect, while adhering to international norms and the UN Charter.

The SCO emphasized the importance of protecting Iran's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, urging all parties to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could exacerbate the situation.

SCO members strongly urged the UN and the UN Security Council to take immediate action to prevent threats to international peace and security.

Currently, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization includes 10 states: Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

As a result of the American-Israeli attack, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, and later his wife, Mansoureh Khojasteh, died from her injuries.

Donald Trump stated that the military operation in Iran would last about four weeks. Iran declared jihad against the USA and Israel, emphasizing that there would be no negotiations.
