At the "Kyrgyztelefilm" studio named after D. Sadyrbayev, which is part of the National Television and Radio Corporation of Kyrgyzstan, work has begun on a documentary film titled "Issyk-Kul – the Fragile Pearl of Kyrgyzstan." This was reported by media expert Elena Bayalinova.

The project is being implemented in accordance with the decree of President Sadyr Japarov on urgent measures to protect the ecology of Lake Issyk-Kul. The studio director Nurchan Tokombaeva noted that the film will be dedicated to the unique features of Issyk-Kul, its ecological problems and the search for solutions, as well as changes in the region's infrastructure.

The filming is led by the People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan and director Tynai Ibragimov. The team also includes operators Ernes Mamytov and Nurdana Karybekov, who have already visited the lake's shores twice, including Balıkçı, Cholpon-Ata, and Karakol. The film highlights the development of tourist infrastructure, including the construction of boarding houses, wastewater treatment facilities in Cholpon-Ata and Karakol, as well as the creation of a new ring road around the lake.

"We discussed with scientists from the biological station, where a major reconstruction is currently underway. It will soon be operating at full capacity, as it did before," shared his impressions the film's author Tynai Ibragimov.

He also noted that the film will showcase the work of government agencies to protect the lake. In Cholpon-Ata, there is an emergency ministry unit equipped with modern equipment, including an underwater drone capable of descending to depths of up to 200 meters to search for poaching nets. Divers are engaged in retrieving old gear, which is then disposed of.

Additionally, within the structure of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Issyk-Kul region, there is a tourist-ecological police unit that uses speedboats, ATVs, drones, and night vision devices. A system of round-the-clock video surveillance has been installed along the entire coastline. The film crew participated in one of the raids to detect illegal fishing.

"The number of poachers has significantly decreased thanks to systematic work. It is important for every citizen to realize their responsibility for preserving the lake for future generations," emphasized the director.
