Instead of a green zone, there will be an attraction. Part of the park in Bishkek has been fenced off
Residents of Bishkek have expressed dissatisfaction regarding the construction work that has begun in the Baytik Baatyr Park, located near the Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan Friendship Park at the intersection of Baytik Baatyr and Tokombaev streets.

People report: “The park has been fenced off, green areas are being destroyed, containers have been placed, and machinery is operating. We already have a shortage of trees in the city, and now the last green zone is being destroyed.”

According to them, the capital already lacks park spaces, and they are becoming fewer each year. “If new buildings or attractions are to be constructed there, we are against it. We would like to be heard and for a public space to be created for everyone,” the residents add.

The city hall clarified that the current work is being conducted on land belonging to the Sky Park amusement park.

“It is planned to install a new attraction with elements of landscaping and improvement. The construction of a residential building is not anticipated here,” the municipality assures.

It is worth noting that the Sky Park amusement park began operations on June 1, 2025, with the participation of the Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev. The project included the creation of an amphitheater, museums, exhibition halls, and open-air stages for concerts and festivals.
