At the National Hospital, the minister inspected the emergency medical care department and areas where renovation work is currently underway.
The chief physician, Bakyt Tologonov, reported that the completion of the renovation of the intensive care unit is nearing, and work on the building for the reference laboratory is planned to be completed by the end of April.
The establishment of the reference laboratory is being carried out with the support of the Asian Development Bank and aims to create a centralized laboratory base for all hospitals in the city. This will allow the National Hospital to centrally conduct analyses for clinics in Bishkek, which, in turn, will improve the quality of diagnostics and ensure the implementation of unified research standards.
The minister also familiarized himself with the work of the central emergency care department, which has been operational for over a year and a half and has become popular among the population.
Key areas for further improving the department's work were identified, including the creation of a shock room, updating equipment, and implementing continuous ECG monitoring for patients in intensive care.
In addition, the Minister of Health's attention was drawn to the Kyrgyz Scientific Center for Human Reproduction. He was tasked with preparing practical recommendations aimed at improving indicators in the field of maternal health and developing the scientific potential of the center.
