The Minister of Health visited a number of healthcare organizations in Bishkek
According to information provided by the Ministry of Health, the minister examined the emergency medical assistance department at the National Hospital and also familiarized himself with the ongoing repair work on the premises of the institution.
The chief physician of the National Hospital, Bakyt Tologonov, noted that the modernization of the intensive care unit is currently nearing completion, and the renovation of the building for the reference laboratory is expected to be finished by the end of April.
The establishment of the reference laboratory is being carried out with the support of the Asian Development Bank. The project aims to create a centralized laboratory base that will serve the hospitals of Bishkek. This will improve the quality of diagnostics and implement unified research standards. The project has been underway for a year, and after the completion of repairs, the necessary equipment will be installed, and training for medical personnel will be organized, leading to the full launch of the laboratory.
The minister also reviewed the operations of the central emergency assistance department, which has been successfully functioning for over a year and a half and has already established itself as in demand. During the visit, areas for improving the department's work were identified, including the creation of a shock room, additional equipment for the units, and the organization of continuous ECG monitoring of patients in the intensive care unit.
The next stop on the visit was the Kyrgyz Scientific Center for Human Reproduction, where the management of the institution presented information about current projects, available resources, and challenges in the field of reproductive health.
At the end of the visit, the minister instructed the management of the Reproduction Center to develop practical proposals aimed at improving maternal health indicators and enhancing the scientific potential of the institution.
