In the organization, it was noted that due to the unstable situation in the region, there are disruptions in flights heading for the performance of minor pilgrimages (Umrah), which leads to emergency circumstances.
Kyrgyz citizens currently in Mecca and Medina are advised to remain calm, respond appropriately to the situation, and follow the recommendations of their travel agencies and group leaders.
“We ask you not to succumb to panic and to patiently wait for the situation to improve and for flights to resume. During this time, we urge everyone to pray for peace, the unity of the Ummah, and the prosperity of our country,” the statement reads.
Those who had planned a trip for Umrah are advised to postpone their plans and wait for the stabilization of the situation in the region.
Additionally, SAMK announced the establishment of a temporary interagency headquarters that will address the issues of returning Kyrgyz citizens to their homeland.
