In Kyrgyzstan, airports have acquired three airplanes for 2 billion 385 million soms

In the near future, the addition of two new airplanes to the fleet is expected.


At a republican meeting, the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Erlis Akunbekov, shared new data on the development of the aviation sector.

According to the minister, the country's airports were able to acquire three airplanes for a total of 2 billion 385 million soms using internal resources.

“Plans are in place to replenish the fleet with a new Q400 model airplane, as well as to purchase two Airbus A321s,” said Akunbekov.

He also reported that 8 billion 400 million soms have been allocated for the modernization of airport infrastructure.

Currently, 11 airports are functioning and certified, operating in normal mode.
