President Sadyr Japarov has approved changes to the Code on Non-Tax Revenues, the Code on Offenses, and the Law "On Universal Military Duty of Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, on Military and Alternative Services."

Citizens are required to make a monetary contribution to finance the mobilization reserve, which goes into the country's budget.

The process of undergoing alternative service includes:

Individuals undergoing alternative service will be assigned to local authorities to carry out socially useful tasks, and they will need to obtain a certificate of completed work to present to the military commissariat.

The president may, at his discretion, confer the title of "Major General" to military personnel and reservists with high achievements, even without meeting the legally established requirements.

Individuals with special class ranks and titles will not receive a new title corresponding to their class rank upon conscription for military service but will remain in their previous military rank in reserve.
