The exhibition titled "Rerich: Herald of Beauty. The Master, the Son of the Master" opens on February 26. It is dedicated to the centenary of Nikolai Rerich's Central Asian expedition and the centenary of Lyudmila Shaposhnikova, the founder of the International Rerich Center in Moscow. This was reported on the official website of the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after Gapar Aitiev.

Svyatoslav Rerich, a renowned artist and scholar, returned his parents' legacy from India to their homeland in 1989 and established the museum named after Nikolai Rerich in Moscow. Lyudmila Shaposhnikova became his trusted representative and the permanent director of this museum.

Shaposhnikova is an outstanding orientalist, writer, and philosopher, also known as an honored figure of arts in Russia and an honorary member of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. She served as the general director of the Nikolai Rerich Museum from 1990 to 2015.

Her creative legacy includes 35 books and over 500 articles dedicated to both the artistic activities of the Rerich family and the culture and history of the peoples of India.
