The previous committee chairs have resigned.
Today, during a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputies discussed the appointment of new chairs for two committees: the Committee on Labor, Health, Women’s Affairs, and Social Issues, as well as the Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues, Law and Order, Combating Crime, and Countering Corruption.
The Ala-Too group of deputies proposed the candidacies of Gulkan Moldobekova for the position of chair of the Committee on Labor, Health, Women’s Affairs, and Social Issues, and Suyunbek Omurzakov for the similar position in the Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues.
In turn, the Adilet Kyrgyzstan deputy group nominated Zhyldyz Kurmanalieva for the position of deputy chair of the Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues.
As a result of the secret ballot, Suyunbek Omurzakov was elected chair of the Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues, and Zhyldyz Kurmanalieva took the position of deputy chair of this committee.
Additionally, Gulkan Moldobekova was also elected chair of the Committee on Labor, Health, Women’s Affairs, and Social Issues.
