Ibraev reported on the current stage of construction of the Kambar-Ata Hydroelectric Power Station
The minister noted that the feasibility study has been completed, and an environmental protection report has also been prepared.
“The project is being implemented with the cooperation of three countries. Uzbekistan has already provided its comments and recommendations. As soon as Kazakhstan submits its proposals, a meeting of the working groups will take place. The World Bank has set the task of completing the intergovernmental agreement by April,” Ibraev added.
He also noted that negotiations were held in Brussels with 11 international donors who expressed their readiness to allocate $2.6 billion to Kyrgyzstan.
“Funding will become available after the agreement is signed with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan,” the minister concluded.
